Everyone seems to get some type of stain on their carpets. Here are a couple of tips to help you treat two common carpet stains.
The first common stain is candle wax. Wax may seem impossible to get out, but here is a way to try to get the wax out. You will first want to let the wax cool. Once the wax is cool, try scraping as much of the wax off as possible. Then, put paper towels on top of the wax and press with a warm dry iron. After that area cools, fluff the fibers with your fingers.
Another common stain in red wine. First, take absorbent cloths and blot the spill. Then, spritz or sponge the stain with cold water. Next, sponge with a mix of 1 Tbsp each dish liquid and white vinegar to 2 cups of warm water. Blot dry, then spritz or sponge again with cold water to rinse. Last, blot dry.
These are just two tips to help remove those stubborn carpet stains. Keep in mind that there are carpet stain removal products out there, just make sure that these products are compatible with your carpets and that you follow the product’s directions.
