When we try to organize our home and try to reduce clutter, sometimes we can make the area more cluttered than when we started. Here are a few ways to help you to reduce that clutter.
The first way is to ask yourself if an item is something that you really need or use. For example, if you have accumulated several specialty small appliances, maybe keep only the appliances that you use several times during the year. Another example is clothing. Have you worn the clothing within a year? If not, donate or get rid of the clothing.
Another way to help reduce clutter is to organize all your loose papers. Have one area where you sort all your mail. Also, you may want to try to digitize any receipts or documents when you don’t need the physical copies. You will want to remember to shred any papers that may contain any of your personal information.
The last way to help you to reduce clutter is to make sure those donation bags or baskets or in full view instead of in a closet where we don’t see them and then forget about the bags or baskets. Then when the donation containers are full, make the trip right away to donate the items.
These few ways will help you to clear away that clutter and help you to stay organized.
