Every bathroom smells a little bit, isn’t that true? But there are some smells that are unnecessary which you as a homeowner can do a lot to eliminate. So if you feel like you’re constantly dealing with funky smells in your bathroom, here are a few things that you can do.
Mold could cause your bathroom to smell musty and even cause allergic reactions. You should make sure that you have sufficient airflow in your bathroom and that you air it out with regular intervals.
If you smell sewer gas in your bathroom, you most likely have a p-trap that isn’t doing its job. Check and see if you have a pipe that isn’t installed correctly or a drain that doesn’t get used often enough where the water might have evaporated from the p-trap.
If you keep a garbage can in the bathroom, you might want to check that frequently and have it emptied. Sometimes guests might leave things in there that need to get taken out of your home as quickly as possible.
